This book blew me away!

"Kayla has always felt a kinship with nature. Adopted as a child, Kayla has no idea that she’s inherited the gene that will turn her into a wolf. She can’t understand why she’s so drawn to distant, aloof Lucas...

As the leader of the Dark Guardians, a pack of werewolves that gather in the national forest, Lucas must watch Kayla until she discovers her destiny as his perfect other half. Just when Kayla finally begins to understand her fate, a new danger emerges...one that threatens their very existence."

Oh, how I love this series. Its was a great read. This book is like no other. That is if you like light and fluffy stories. Which I do of course. This is a werewolf story. In this book there are shifters. The male shifters shift first, and the females shift on the first moon after their seventeenth birthday. In order for the females to survive the shift they must be there with a male shifter. Preferably a male shifter who has chosen them for a mate.

Kayla parents were killed when she was little, so she had no idea that she was shifter. He goes to camp every summer. Upon this summer is Kayla's seventeenth birthday. At camp she meets Lucas the leader of the camp. He is also the leader of the shifters. Lucas draw dangerously close to Kayla. She has no idea that he has chosen her for his mate.

Lucas is such a gentle and patient man. Even when Kayla refused him he stood by waiting in the wings for her. Kayla and Lucas finally declare their love for each other. Kayla finally accepted the idea of being a shifter and accepted Lucas.

This book is told in a romance style. There are currently four books in the series. What I like most about it, is that it is all romance without the other junk. (sex, drugs, etc.) A teenager could read this book. But I will warn you it is real light and fluffy. So if you like that kind of read check it out!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!
