I had the wonderful opportunity to read and review this book.

This story was inspiring. A young cubs family was attacked by a pack of rapid boars. Sheeba was rescued by Kaz, the wise bird. Since she was left with no family. She finds family with a Kangroo named Aunt Gerty. Gerty was unable to have a child and accepts Sheeba fully. Sheeba grows up, trying to fit in, but the other just mock her. Laugh at her telling her she will never be a part of them.

Despite everything Sheeba does her best. In the mean while, hunters are all around, hunting Sheeba's kind, the dingo. Soon she wants to find her family that she left behind so long ago. Kaz the wise one agrees to take her, leaving to find the place that she belongs.

This is a coming of age story for children/ pre-teen genre. It kinds of reminded of The Lion King and Rescue'rs Down Under put together. MJ Croan book was well written and had a great plot. I love the moral values in it. The character's were great.  This is a story that I could get into reading it to my son.
