Say what??? In case some of you don't know, National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
So I sign up. This will be my first time participating and I am excited. Now, you are not supposed to start writing until November 1st, so instead, I wrote out a plot line, characters, etc. I have decided to write a Young Adult paranormal novel. The title is called Chained Destiny. Here is my synopsis:
"In a world that is oblivious, I prevail with my brethren, fighting and protecting the veil that stands between our plane and theirs….
After years of hard work and training, eighteen year old Aiden McNeal is finally a Head Hunter. He accepts his new mission, taking his first tour of duty. When his mission goes south Aiden is sidelined meeting Liza Mackenzie, a breathtaking girl who has captured his heart.
Then their world is shattered. Liza’s world is turn upside down forcing her to see things on a whole new level. Things she never even dream of before. Aiden struggles to save her life as well as keeping his code of honor to his Queen. Can Aiden do both? Or will he have to sacrifice his one true love?"
So what do you think?
If you are interested in participating go to: http://www.nanowrimo.org/ to sign up. I am under the screen name Savysweets, if you like to add me as your writing buddy.
Good Luck to everyone who participates!

ReplyDeleteI did Nano Wrimo for the first timelast year and won. I didn't have everything as planned out as you seem to, but I did have a tentative title, and a general idea for some of the characters I wanted to use (though I ended up using some that I hadn't planned on at first), and I met the 50k mark.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably due it again this year. Good luck to you.
P.S. I'm signed up on that site as Midwestern Mouse. Feel free to look me up.
