Blog Hop (25)

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!! and BLOG HOPPING!

This Blog Hop is hosted by Parajunkee.

New Years Resolution: I will not go to any bookstore or store and buy any books. Why? Well because for the year of 2011 I pre-ordered, yes pre-ordered....Are you ready?

104 books!

I know. I sent my list to my local indie who will have all the books I ask for on the counter ready to be paid for and pick up. Because of this my husband said I am not allowed to:

1. When we go to mall, not go to Borders, Walden Books, Barnes and Noble and buys books.
2. When we go to Wal-mart, not allowed in book section.
3. When we go to HEB, not allowed to go to book section.
4. If we take a vacation, not allowed to visit bookstores.
5. When we go to a shopping plaza or plaza not allowed to visit bookstore.
6. When we got to Target, not allowed to go to book section.

Basically  I can't buy any books since I ordered so many and I quote,"You don't need anymore books Savy. You already ordered over a hundred and you still have all those in your library to read." Ugh. So annoying!

So there you have it. I will not buy any books other than what I ordered from Paragraphs Books.
P.S. Come one people! Did you really think I wouldn't buy any books? I have a serious disorder here. Now, I may have said I wouldn't buy any books at a store but he never said I couldn't order online, or buy e-books. Take that John! *cue evil laugh*
Okay carry on....

  8. Hehe - there you go - a resolution you have no hopes of keeping! I'm actually getting better about that and I'm working my way through the exsisting TBR pile but I do always manage to buy just one more book that I don't really need.
    Happy new Year!

  9. You should have seen my face when I read that, I thought no way ! LOL then I figured you would find a loop hole - just like I would have.

I figured out a way for mine, tell them I won them all in giveaways lol- reasons is the looks I get when a crap load of books arrive at the door. My family thinks I'm insane.

Hope you have a Happy New Year !

Second.. I don't understand the phrase... too many books. What does that mean? I don't think it means what he thinks it means. It's impossible!
