"You'll love them—to death.
Twin sisters Destiny and Livvy Weller return home from summer vacation with a dark secret . . . and an inhuman desire to drink blood. What have they become? Can they ever turn back? As their deadly secret becomes harder to keep, more questions arise and loyalties are tested. And as one sister descends into darkness, the other must find a way to save her—and herself. Who will live to see the glow of the next full moon? Which sister will survive"

I love R.L. Stine. I remember when I was little I would always ask the librarian for his books and could not wait till the next one is out. So when I saw this book on the shelf at Target I could not resist and bought it. I was glad that I did because this book rocked!

The first story talks about the sisters becoming vampires. We meet an obsessive vampire who is drawn to the girls because they look like his long lost love. In turn, the girls fight their nature doing whatever it takes to find the restorer and be turned back to human before its too late. Destiny is the one who wants a human life while Livvy is basking in the vampire life. Unlike her sister, Livvy fights with Destiny wanting to stay as a vampire. In the end the two sisters become enemies.

The second story is based on Destiny finding her sister and restoring their relationship. Their mother has died, her little brother is acting like a vampire and their father is drowning himself in his work. Destiny wants Livvy back so that she can restore what family she has left. New enemies are made and Destiny is doing everything she can to get her sister to come back home.

I loved the stories. Both had a lot of emotions and lots of stuff going on. Both sisters are struggling to find themselves and what to do. They both miss each to each other dearly and hate that they are separated. The love interest in both stories are good. We see both sisters having trouble maintaining a relationship because they can't talk to each other about whats going on. I love that their bond is strong.

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

  4. OH my gosh I loved R.L. Stine books when I was younger, I should definitely give this one a try. I just remember all the chapters would end with a mini cliffhanger and I would never be able to stop reading because of it. Is this book the same way?

  9. I saw these books around at the library when I was a kid, but didn't read them then because I was afraid what my mother would think about the vampires. Lol! I'm glad to see that they're re-marketing the books, and I'm hoping to give them a shot this time! Glad you enjoyed them!
