"Carly has dropped out of uni to spend her days surfing and her nights working as a cook in a Manly café. Surfing is the one thing she loves doing ... and the only thing that helps her stop thinking about what happened two years ago. Then she meets Ryan and Carly has to decide ... Will she let the past bury her? Or can she let go of her anger and shame, and find the courage to be happy?"

This book is awesome! So awesome that I can not find the right words to describe this book. This book had so many emotions and so many good characters that I fell in love with it quickly. It also hurt to read the book. Raw Blue is raw. It cuts into your very soul so deep that you can not get out.

What I like most about this book were the characters. The characters were real, alive, and out there. Carly is an amazing character. She shows a real live aspect of who she is after all that she had been through. She does not fake it and be happy. You see her. You see her real emotions even when she tried to hide it.

Ryan is a character that I least expected to help Carly the way he did. He shows up out of no where and immediately connects with her. It's like he saw right through her and knew what she needed. He was there for her and never gave up even when she pushed him away.

The issue of rape in this book was hurtful to read. To learn and feel what Carly went through tore my heart right out of my chest. Carly felt ashamed and dirty. She walked around feeling as if everyone can see the damage that is done to her. She couldn't trust anyone and even let anyone close to her. I like how the reader see her progress of letting go. As she gets closer to Ryan, she begins to open up and trusts. It's a long and hurtful progress, but one I was happy to see her go through.

This book is a good read and one with great insight of a rape victim. It contain sex/ rape, drinking, and cursing.

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!
