"I do not remember being bitten. I wish I did, for then I would know the creature who did this to me and I would have a purpose, to track him down and repay him for the poisoned gift he gave me." Back in the 13th Century, Will was destined to be Earl of Mercia.  He never lived to inherit his title, struck down by a strange illness and buried beneath the city walls.  But Will was not dead, and only now, seven lonely centuries later, does he begin to understand that there was a reason for all of this, that he has a destiny.  To find it though, he will need help, and as ever, he will need blood."
As much as I enjoyed the writing in this book. I could not get into the plot line. I had trouble sticking to it.

One thing I did enjoy is the main character Will. He had such a strong voice that really spoke loudly to me. It definitely turn out to be a a completely different vampire story that I thought it would be. There was loads of actions and lots of secrets being revealed. There wasn't too much love in it, which sorta of bummed me out.

I wish I can say more, but this book is just not for me. Hoping I could read it again and feel differently about it.

I give it 3 BITES!

Happy Reading!

  1. Oh that is a shame it was a disappointing read. Especially since it has such an appealing cover ;)

  2. Bum deal. I was soooo looking forward to this one. :(

*runs off to cry in corner*

  3. *sigh* I didn't even finish this book... I started but never ever grabbed me ;(

  4. Shoot. I have been considering this one, but something always stopped me. Darn. Well, thanks so much for the honest review!

  5. Will sounds like a great main character!! Too bad the plot wasn't as engaging. Thanks for the review. =D

  6. Good honesty, Savy! I couldn't finish this one - just couldn't get into it, unfortunately. I don't have too many of those either! :)
