Light It Up Blue!
Hello everyone!I don't normally post something personal but this does hit home for me.
This is my son Ben:
He is three years old and still does not speak. I knew there was something that was not right with him. He wasn't picking up words, he liked to be by himself, and wasn't socializing with other kids. After taking him to several doctors, they told me that he is Autistic. We have not got the official diagnosis for him yet, we are still in the process of taking him to several specialist.
In the mean time, this has finally given us some answers as to why Ben did certain things and did not speak. He has started speech therapy and will be doing Occupational and Psychical therapy as well. He has several doctors visits this month (Neuro pathologist, Geneticist, and Child Psychologist). I am hopping that once Ben get his official diagnosis, that we can get the help that we need for him.
All I ask from my readers is to wear blue on Monday April 2nd for Autism Awareness Day.
Light It Up Blue
This is a world wide event that is set to shine the light on Autism.
