"Romance and adventure are just around the corner . . .
After the thrilling journey that led Camille through the dangerous discovery of love, secrets, and a magical stone that grants immortality, Camille has everything she wants. She's escaped the men who wanted her dead, and now she is ready to build a new life with Oscar, her one true love. But things are not to be so simple. Oscar is acting strangely, and before they can even board a ship from Australia back home, to San Francisco, Camille learns that the journey is not over. If she does not follow the magic of the curse of Umandu, her life and Ocar's could be in grave danger."

Everlasting is one of my fave books last year. So you can imagine that I have been anticipating this book in seeing what is going to happen to the characters now. EEPPP!

This book picked off where the second one left off. They are back from the island trying to figure out what to do next but there are a few things that are holding them back.  For instance, Oscar. Major love strain in his book. He is not the same buy in the first book and is hiding loads of secrets. I was so not happy with him. Tough, once I got caught up with what happen to him to distance himself, I understood why he did it.

Old loves come back.  That's right. Camille finds herself in major hot water once her "fiance" jumps back in the picture. At some points of the story, I  am not happy with her either. Some of her decisions  that she made makes me want to slap her!

The cost. Yes my dears, their is cost to the stone that Camille used. This is the center point of the story and the biggest problem. I loved that Camille did not give up. She pushed toward her goal of saving the one that she loves despite all the other drama. Each new chapter, the reader learns more about the stone and at what cost it will take to get back their lives.

The Eternal Sea is much darker and edger than ever. Faced with a journey to travel to find more pieces of a missing puzzle, The Eternal Sea delivers love and sacrifice. The Eternal Sea is a great read!

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

  2. Well clearly I'm missing out having not read Everlasting! I love books that get darker and edgier, so I'm glad to see that happens in this second book. Thanks for the recommendation Savy!
