"Lydia Bentley has heard stories about the Montauk Project all her life: stories about the strange things that took place at the abandoned military base near her home and the people who've disappeared over the years. Stories about people like her own great-grandfather.

When Lydia stumbles into a portal that transports her to a dangerous and strange new reality, she discovers that all the stories she's ever heard about the Montauk Project are true, and that she's in the middle of one of the most dangerous experiments in history.

Alongside a darkly mysterious boy she is wary to trust, Lydia begins to unravel the secrets surrounding the Project. But the truths behind these secrets force her to question all her choices—and if Lydia chooses wrong, she might not save her family but destroy them... and herself."
What inspired me to read this book is the concept of time travel. This amuses me to no end. So when this book feel into my hands, I rushed to read it.

I love the plot line. The reader meets Lydia, a girl who is about to get trapped in one of the biggest conspiracy theories the town has every came upon. They have an old camp, which is said to have done secret experiments, sort of like Area 51. When exploring it with her grandfather, Lydia stumbles upon time travel and travels back in time. Woohoo! When she travel back, I was hooked. The description of what changed in the town, the feel of the story itself, felt changed as well. I even had to turn back a few pages just to read the transition again cause it was so smooth. Seriously, love it.

Now, the love interest managed to pull me in deeper.
*spoiler highlight to see*
The love interest is a guy who works for the government, who is being tested on as a time traveler. I am amused as to how they will make this relationship work, being that he doesn't stay in one time period for so long.
There was much tension, that eased the reader into falling in love with the guy quickly. His mysteriousness alone, enticed me.

The story of Lydia's family and what major part they play in the whole time travel concept brings much more boarder aspect. I know that with all the revelations that are revealed, this family is not over yet. It's just beginning.

So Close To You feels so good to read. Smooth and well written, the time travel does everything it's supposed to do to the reader. It's brings a whole new world, characters, life to the story that you can't help but read on. Never boring, So Close To You  is awesome!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!
