Top Ten Tuesday: Confession of A Book Blogger

(Image/meme belongs to The Broke and The Bookish)
This is hosted by The Broke and  The Bookish
I always wanted to this meme and finally, I am going to participate!
This Week's Topic:
Join us in spilling our deepest held secrets around one of our most beloved pastimes. Everyone has a bookish confession. What's yours?

1. I always buy a purse that can fit at least two books. In fact, I go so far as to testing it out at the store. I take out what two books I have in my  current purse and try sticking it in the new one. If it doesn't fit, I don't buy it.

2. I read books at work! GAH! I do. People think I'm on the phone checking a text message or email, but I am actually reading a book of my Kindle app or Blue Fire app.

3. I don't like long reviews. Your writing a review on a book, not a book report. If your review is long, I will not read it. Unless, it is well written with snarky humor. Like, Jenny from Supernatural Snark. Her's I will read.

4. I must buy at least two books per month. It's a must. I don't care if it's a indie book or whatnot. I just NEED to buy a book. Period.

5. Whenever I go to Walmart, Kmart, Target or even HEB, I must look at the book section. I have to GO. Even if I don't buy anything, just to see the books on the shelves gets me giddy enough.

6. When I get home from work, the first place I go to is my shelves. I like to stand in front of the shelves, picking out which book I will dive into next.

7. I don't like to watch the movie before the book. I MUST read the book first. I feel if I do that, that I can compare the book to the movie/tv show evenly.

8. I do NOT check out book from libraries cause I am a germ-a-phobe. One time, I walked in to check out a book and saw a kid sneeze, wipe boogers with his hand, then turned the page, 'Nuff said.

9.  I'm a book hoarder who does not like to lend out my books. Unless, I know you and I know that you will take care of my precious baby, then I will lend out the book. Also, my book lending comes with rules. No dog earring pages and NO EATING WHILE READING MY BOOK! The last thing I was is crap all over my pretties!!

10. My vocabulary changes due to which book really gets into my blood. For instance like Paranormalacy by Kiersten White. I said Bleep for EVERYTHING for weeks! My friends and family look at me weird, but I did not care. I was talking like Evie and THAT'S COOL!

LOL! Hope you like my confessions!

Happy Reading!

  1. That is so nice of you to say Savy! THANK YOU! You've completely made my day. I know my reviews are long, I have trouble keeping my mouth shut (or my fingers from typing in this case), so I'm glad you don't mind sticking it out till the end! <3<3<3

  2. I almost never see movies based on books. They are just never as good. Except Harry Potter.

And I'm not a germophobe but when we go to the beach I always find sand in the library books. Ick.

  3. I don't like to read long reviews either. And yes, just looking at books on the bookshelf in ANY store, makes me giddy.

  4. #7 I with you here. I want to see The Help but I won't until I read the book. I have the book on my shelf but don't have any plans to read it soon. I guess I'll just have to miss out on the movie a little while longer.

  5. Lol. Savy you crack me up! I busted out laughing on #8! But you raise a good point. I remember getting some really grimy looking books when I was in school. Seriously though, I love that you keep your reviews short and sweet!

  7. I do number one too!! I didn't know anyone else actually tested it out, and I am glad I'm not alone :) I have gotten many purses for gifts that are just sitting in my closet because they are too small for books!

  9. #3, 7 & 9 I completely agree with! #1 is a great idea! I always buy bigger ones for that reason, but have always been too chicken pull out the book and NOOK in my purse to actually test it in the store! LOL! P.S. you might be ok at one of my libraries: we sanitize them all after checking them in! :)
