"The second installment in Kristen Simmons's fast-paced, gripping YA dystopian series.
After faking their deaths to escape from prison, Ember Miller and Chase Jennings have only one goal: to lay low until the Federal Bureau of Reformation forgets they ever existed.
Near-celebrities now for the increasingly sensationalized tales of their struggles with the government, Ember and Chase are recognized and taken in by the Resistance—an underground organization working to systematically take down the government. At headquarters, all eyes are on the sniper, an anonymous assassin taking out FBR soldiers one by one. Rumors are flying about the sniper’s true identity, and Ember and Chase welcome the diversion….
Until the government posts its most-wanted list, and their number one suspect is Ember herself.
Orders are shoot to kill, and soldiers are cleared to fire on suspicion alone. Suddenly Ember can’t even step onto the street without fear of being recognized, and “laying low” is a joke. Even members of the Resistance are starting to look at her sideways.
With Chase urging her to run, Ember must decide: Go into hiding…or fight back?"

I love that sequels are getting better and better. Instead of dreading them, they are quickly become a read that I devour in one sitting.

What I enjoyed most about this book is the great plot. I mean, hands down, this plot freaking rocks. Not only are the characters facing some hard times, they are also facing some decisions the change their emotions and the way they look at things. I like that the plot never fails to waver from the big picture. Each chapter, the reader learns more about the articles as well as the punishments. Breaking more articles means risking more exposure.

The love interest got so much more heated! I love it. The emotions that both characters go through, leaves me breathless  The fighting, the fear, and of course the trust being gained all leads up to this couple fighting and standing by each other. They need each other to help each other.

What else can I say about this book other than it's freaking fantastic! I enjoyed it so much, that I want to read it again and again. There are so many revelations that I know the third book will be a amazing. I can't wait to see how the author will tie all loose ends and finally let the reader see the bigger picture. Breaking Point takes everything you want in book and lays it out for you to enjoy. It's fast yet energetic. It's complements the series well, all leading up to a final book I'm yearning to read. Breaking Point is awesome!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

  2. I still have to read Article 5 I am glad to know that the sequel is great. I hate it when a sequel is more of a filler book and doesn't go anywhere or give us much more. Great review.

  4. I love a sequel books that are good. They are so hit and miss most of the time. Thanks for your review! There is a book being released in March that has me excited. It is called, "Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog" by author S. L. Whyte. The story is a young adult fantasy novel with romance. The main character, a sixteen year-old boy, discovers he has unusual powers, which takes him on a journey of discovery. The video clip on the author's website looks amazing! I've actually watched it several times, lol. http://www.stelladaur.com/
