"Dana is definitely not the kind of girl to be living in the dump of a wilderness lodge she finds herself waitressing in. But when Craig, the sexy cop who’s handling the murder case where she’s a witness, suggests it—it seems like a good idea. Now she’s got no BMW, no shopping and an assortment of hairy Alaskan men who definitely belong in a run-down old lodge. Her exciting visits from Craig are getting less exciting, and the lodge owner, Jason, is quickly moving from grouchy and judgmental, to funny, smart and unexpectedly complex.
Jason knows exactly the type of girl Dana is—beautiful, spoiled, and high maintenance. She’s everything that hurt him in the past, and why he now lives as far away from city life as he can manage. If he wasn’t so hard-up for help, he would have never said yes to his friend, Craig. Despite his reservations, Dana becomes the perfect antidote to everything in his life—both his disaster of a divorce and precocious little sister who shows up on his doorstep. Jason realizes he’s falling for Dana too late to stop it, or even slow it down.
As the trial approaches, Dana knows it’s time to move on with her life—but is her life back in the city she left or with a guy she never meant to fall for?"

I love this author! She also creates such beautiful stories out of the unexpected!

Alright, I love the plot. You have a girl who has seen something she wasn't supposed to see and landed herself in the middle of now where with some guy she doesn't know. I like that the plot has many twist and turns that I didn't expect. I like learning about the history of Jason and the hurt he is hiding. It gives the plot a deeper depth that there is a lot more that what you see.

And of course there is the love interest. How much more complicated cause this get?!?!? As I was reading this all I could do Is snuggle more into my chair and smile like a freaking cheshire cat! LOL! Dana is not perfect and makes mistakes from the start. She finds herself involve in something she never thought she do and then falling again. Dana is smart. She is not at all what Jason thinks. I love watching Dana unravel Jason peeling him back like a onion, revealing every single emotion and fear. That is the coolest part. Watching them learn and love each other, thinking that they actually "know" exactly how each one is, it's wonderful. You can't help but laugh and shake your head.

Falling is an amazing love story full of wonder and life. It's raw and simply realistic. Amplified in every emotion and mistake, watching these two fall in love leaves me breathless. Ambitious and a fine example of two people learning to love and let go, Falling is awesome!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

  1. How new adult is this? Is the character 18 or 22 ish? It seems like it might be on the more adult side of new adult, although it's hard to tell. I've been meaning to read something by Jolene.
