"How do you disappear when you come from a family of predators?
A wereleopard, Kess is forced to flee her home and family in Miami once her brother's obsession with her turns violent. She runs from city to city, trying to stay one step ahead of the investigators her family has dispatched to bring her home. Kess ends up in the mountains of North Carolina and attracts the attention of Cormac, a young man with a secret of his own. As she attempts to live as normal a life as her were-nature allows, her brother Sek continues to hunt for her. He believes she is the key to revitalizing their weakened clan and is driven to extreme measures to ensure their continued existence. As Kess' relationship with Cormac deepens, Sek closes in, threatening Cormac's life and Kess' freedom.
When the moon rises, the hunt is on…."

Every once in a while, I like to pick up a book that I never heard about before. This book is recommended by a friend who read it and love it. So, I figured why not?

Let me tell you that  there is something about being on the run that gets my heart pumping. Action from the start of the page, the reader is immediately engrossed and taken away by the secrets that are being withheld. I couldn't help but let myself fall into a mystery that intrigued me right away. The search for Kess, while her family closes in, is intense. The plot takes time to allow the reader to run with Kess.

Watching Kess land in a place where she ran from is ironic. Kess is just trying to move on and live her life the best that she can. With her brother catching up to her, Kess made it a point not to get to know anyone. Cormac is a guy who makes a perfect match for Kess. He's protective and understanding.  He knows the risks and is well, similar to Kess. I like that Cormac had a charisma about him that gave Kess peace as well as a reason to stop running.

Leopard Moon is an astounding read that took me away. Leaving me breathless and on the run, I can't help but wonder what happens next. The fight may be over, but the battle has just began.

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

  3. Sounds like there's a lot of action. I don't know about a wereleopard though. I think I'd rather be a werecheetah or a werejaguar. What about a werelion?
