"The undead can really screw up your senior year ...

Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancĂ©. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction."

Jessica starts off her senior year with nothing but surprises. While waiting for the bus stop, she sees some mysterious guy following her. She later on sees him at school. After school, at home she tells her parents about the weird guy. The parents don't look at all surprised. In fact they have been waiting for him to come. Right then and there, Jessica finds out about her true parents and who they were. Her parents were royalty. After she was born she was betrothed to Lucias, our mysterious good looking vampire. Dun...dun...dunnnnnn!

Jessica finds out that not only is she already given to some guy she doesn't know, but that she is a vampire!
With everything in school happening, with her best friend, the guy she had been crushing on for a long time, Jessica is frustrated. She does not want to marry this guy. She just wanted to live a real life without problems.

The drama and plot in this book was intense. It was defiantly a page turner. At first Jessica refused Lucias, she wanted nothing to with him. Jessica, after spending time with her fiance Lucias, she soon finds herself falling in love with him. He starts to date the mean girl in the school Faith. Jessica is then set to win Lucias back. Not only for her, but for long century feud that has been going on between the families.

This is defiantly a must read book. It is nothing like Twilight or anything else. I find Jessica's character refreshing. Unlike Bella, Jessica acted like a normal person should. Jessica was not intrigued by Lucias, no drawn to him. She fell in love like it love should happen. I find the feelings in this book more real than Twilight. The drama, the love triangle, the best friend, etc, are all things that happen in real life. I could relate to Jessica more than to Bella.

This book was a easy read. It had a few sexual references in the book. Other than that the book was good.

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!
