Title: Fading Amber
Series: The Cambion Chronicles # 3
Genre: Young Adult-Paranormal/Fantasy
Author: Jamie Reed
Publisher: Dafina
Release Date: December 24, 2012

"After falling for a Cambion and then turning into one herself, Samara never thought her senior year could get any more complicated. The gaps in her memory, the mysterious deaths and the constant danger that threaten her once quiet town have a common thread: Tobias, a demon with a lot of enemies. He's also Samara's other soul mate and he's suddenly disappeared. But Samara isn't the only one who wants to find Tobias. His enemies are getting closer and their plans for retribution could mean deadly consequences for Samara and her true soul mate, Caleb."
I found this book, especially the love interest very frustrating. It had great action, with some awesome twist

What I enjoyed most about this book is the love interest. Call me a masochist but the way that these two went back at forth at each other, fighting then kissing. Yelling then kissing. More fighting and more kissing. They seriously remind me of that song by Maroon 5, One More Night. LOL. Still, this love interest kept me quite entertained.

The plot once again, dives straight into the cambion world with lots of rule breaking and more history. I really loved learning more about the families and what they all mean. Each family has powerful ties and know what they want. The best part about this book is Samara learning more about her other side as well as that history. Watching it all flash before her eyes along with the reader is neat!

Overall, Fading Amber is a great story. I'm hoping that the next book will finally conclude all what has really been happening behind the scenes. Fading Amber has a great plot with lots of emotion to throw at the reader. Never a dull moment, Fading Amber is awesome!

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

Review: Burning Emerald

Series: The Cambion Chronicles # 2
Genre: Young Adult-Paranormal
Author: Jaime Reed
Publisher: Dafina

Book: ARC sent by author
"Coping with loss, keeping secrets from friends, and juggling
classes has kept Sam Marshall busy in her senior year. She
finds comfort in her unlikely companion, Caleb, as their
connection grows to where one cannot survive without the other.

But Sam’s biggest problem is a powerful enemy that wants
her for himself and to destroy Caleb and his family.
Determined to keep Caleb safe, Sam fights a battle where
she is both the enemy and the prize, but victory will come
at a deadly price."

I loved this book! So action packed, Burning Emerald is awesome!
What I liked about this book, is the tension between the characters. What started off as a match made in heaven, the reader now sense the problems arising between them. I like this. It makes the characters easy for the reader to understand the characters. Jealousy and mistrust, leads the reads down a road of unanswered questions and raging war about ready to explode.

The plot itself is interesting. I didn't think that there will be a love triangle, but not really. It's hard for me to explain this since I will be giving a major spoiler away if you haven't read the book. Let just say, that Sam's is in for a very interesting time of her life.

The best of the part, I felt was the end. I really like who like that little plot twist made me want more. It definitly left me hanging and so excited to read the next book.

Burning Emerald has so much action in it. The heroic aspect of it makes me root for Sam even more. The plot races forward as Sam is on limited time to save the one she loves. The thrilling journey to solve the mystery of the Cambion chases the reader to read till the end. The dark fantasy that Burning Emerald gives is great!

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

But Caleb's secrets are drawing Samara into a world where the laws of attraction are a means of survival. And as a sinister power closes in on those she loves, Samara must take a risk that will change her life forever. . .or consume it."

I thought this book was fantastic! It was not what I was expecting but it gave me a big smile on my face. Whenever I read book about a succbus it's always about a girl. Not in this book. We have a boy succubus who is struggling with who and what he is. And that folks makes for an awesome read!

Like I said before, this book is so cool! I am so happy that I got to read the story of this young mans life and his struggles. One thing I enjoyed about this book is the great tale of what he is and how he came to be. I loved the back round history that Ms. Reed creates for her readers. I love a good back round history to characters cause it gives them character. I like the rules that are set in the world. Caleb's is learning to deal with his succubus side without it causing err... death. I love the Samara. She is spitfire girl who is awesome! They way that she took Caleb by his ear forcing her help on him Caleb made me what to scream."You go girl!"

Now the love interest in this story is so deep that I fell right into the rabbit hole. I adored this characters and watching them fall in love with such animosity going round them left me reeling for more. Samara and Caleb's fight for each other and their families is soo good! I like that Ms. Reed created the characters to be likable. There wasn't an overdone amount of supernatural that left out the real life that they have. These characters still do every day real stuff and THAT I loved. Reading a story of the paranormal but not overriding the life's is great.

So you wanna read a story about a male succubus? Read this one! It contains real life situations laced with the right amount of supernatural that is gives you a great read!
