Genre: Young Adult-Fantasy/Paranormal
Author: Jessica Shirvington
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire
Release Date: September 4, 2012
Book: ARC sent by publisher

"Violet Eden is Grigori - part angel, part human. Her destiny is to protect humans from the vengence of exiled angels.
Knowing who to trust is key but, when Grigori reinforcements arrive, it becomes clear everyone is hiding something. Even Lincoln. The only thing Violet does know: Phoenix's hold over her is more dangerous than ever.
The race to find the one thing that could tilt the balance of power brings them all to the sacred mountains of Jordan, where Violet's power will be pushed to the extreme. And the ultimate betrayal exposed. "

Since I loved the first book I couldn't wait to read this one. This sequel is one of the most anticipated books that I have been waiting for. Was it worth it? HECK YEAH!!

So, let me start off by saying that this book exceeded my expectations by far! Once I open this book, I knew things were going down but I hadn't expect it to sway me so much. The plot of the book is once again paced awesomely well where you are into the book so much by the time you look up, your fifty pages in! I easily fell into the book enojying all the twist and turns.

The love interest. Let's take this moment to scream. 1...2...3..
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
There. There are many new developments with this couple that either made me feel happy, angry, sad, and even heartache. Ms. Shirvington, you sure do know how to mess with my emotions! I wanted to slap people around and make them see. It's in front of your eyes. OPEN THEM!!
It did however, end they way I wanted to, so in the end, I am happy camper :)
For now...

There are several new twists towards the end of the book that made my head turn. I knew something was up and I'm glad it all came to light. Once again, Violet fights till the end never giving up even when other do around her. She find new allies and makes new friends who help her along the way.

Entice is a fantastic sequel stealing breathe from the reader. The tension of power, control, and love ignites a war that has just yet begun. The gripping drama with vivid emotions, once in the story there is no way out.
Entice lingers in the mind, far even when it's over. You must solve the riddle. Find the traitor and hope to God you figure it out first. Cause if not, a bigger power is going to be unleashed. Solid and inviting, Entice is beautiful.

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

Cover Reveal: Entice

Are you ready? I am.
I am so excited and honored to be a part of this reveal.

“Two tutors and three students from the Grigori training center in New York were arriving in two days and I couldn’t be happier.  I was going to be able to learn from the experts and have people my own age to train with, something I really needed.  I was sure with their help I would be able to get over whatever it was that had been holding me back.

Griffin had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the two senior Grigori –the intelligence, resources and backup they could provide was much needed.  The Scripture that can decipher the identity of all Grigori, even those who have not yet embraced and are therefore defenseless, was at stake.

I would not stand by and watch it fall into the hands of exiles.  If they found they key to destroying all Grigori and gained the upper hand, the slaughter would not stop until all the humans knelt before them, worshipping them as gods.”

 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Isn't it just beautiful!

Sourcebooks Fire editor, Leah Hultenschmidt said this about the Entice cover: “For Entice, we really wanted to have the cover reflect the darker edge of the story and Violet’s toughness.”

Here’s the scoop!

Seventeen-year-old Violet Eden’s is back! With a destiny is to protect humans from the vengeance of exiled angels it becomes clear that it won’t be easy as even her partner, Lincoln, is hiding something.  And now she has to learn to live with her feelings for him while they work together to stay alive and stop the exiles from discovering the key to destroy all Grigori.  It isn’t easy. Especially when the electricity between her and  Phoenix ignites and she discovers his hold over her has become more dangerous than ever.  Violet's power will be pushed to the extreme with a race halfway across the world to find the one artifact that could tilt the balance of power between Angels and Exiles.  And the ultimate betrayal will be exposed.

Blog Tour: Review: Embrace

Title: Embrace (The Violet Eden Chapters # 1)
Author: Jessica Shirvington
Publisher:Sourcebooks Fire
Release Date: March 6, 2012
Book: ARC sent by publisher

"It starts with a whisper: “It’s time for you to know who you are…”

Violet Eden dreads her seventeenth birthday. After all, it’s hard to get too excited about the day that marks the anniversary of your mother’s death. As if that wasn’t enough, disturbing dreams haunt her sleep and leave her with very real injuries. There’s a dark tattoo weaving its way up her arms that wasn’t there before.

Violet is determined to get some answers, but nothing could have prepared her for the truth. The guy she thought she could fall in love with has been keeping his identity a secret: he’s only half-human—oh, and same goes for her.

A centuries-old battle between fallen angels and the protectors of humanity has chosen its new warrior. It’s a fight Violet doesn’t want, but she lives her life by two rules: don’t run and don’t quit. When angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot worse than betting on Violet Eden…"

There have been many books that always leave me wanting more. This book, left me utterly hanging at the edge of my seat. I have never been more sad to see a book end. I did not want it to finish!

This book. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Let me gather me words here," The Bomb Diggity." That's right. This book is all kinds of awesome. What I loved about this book is the love interest. Straight up it held me. Friends for a long time, lies, betrayal and two hot boys fighting for her heart. What  more could I ask for! From the very first page, I fell in love. The tension between the characters nearly gave me heart attack! I swear, it was getting hot up in here!

The plot of the book is another great aspect to the story. Fresh and innovative, this is not another tale of angels. It's so much more than that. There is fighting, action, secrets and best of all, a love that can not be relinquished!

Before I continue on yapping about this book, do yourself a favor and read it! READ IT!

Embrace is an heart pounding story that is tense and suspenseful. The unique perspective of angels, hierarchy's and such, quenches the thirst for all angel stories. A mesmerizing, beautiful story, Embrace is complex, unpredictable and exhilarating!!

I give it 5 BITES!
