I love mythology! The story behind gods and goddess always fascinated me. The Furies on the other hand, I always wanted to learn more about. This is a perfect story of the Furies coming to power in the modern day.
Eye for an Eye. Revenge. Justice. How far would you go to right a wrong that has been done to you? These three girls who lives have been picked on, stomp on, made fun of, finally have a chance to settle the score. I can tell you that this alone excited me. I'm not one to go for revenge on people, but stepping into the shoes of others doing it is quite the adventure. The plot of the book is wonderful. All three girls band together creating an unstoppable force. Let me tell you that their lives are horrible. Reading this story really open my eyes to how others treat people.
There is no love interest but simply learning to let go. At some points in the story, the girls go too far almost to the point of killing. I can see that there can be redemption for the girls if they only learn to forgive. Meg has a great friend who has always been there for her and he helps her. He helps her see what she has been doing. And for a friend to be completely loyal to you even after what you did...yeah he is awesome.
Furious is a strong cautionary tale of revenge. Who are they to be the judge, the jury, the executioner? An angry story hell bent on power, Furious is enticing.

The Furies seems to be a popular theme with the Fury series that came out a year or two ago. I still need to read it. This one sounds interesting. Kinda cool that there's no love interest.
