"At the Afterlife Academy of Exceptionally Dark Arts, Lily Fielding is a measly trainee who dreams of one day becoming a Savior—those who visit vampire-infested high schools and put down the undead with their deadly crossbows. When Lily and her classmates Alice and Cara begin their latest assignment, it seems like just another run-of-the-mill gig: they’re to simply spot the Vamplayer—part vampire, part player—identify the popular girl he’s set his sights on, and befriend her before the Vamplayer can turn her to do his bidding. Before long, however, the Vamplayer sets his sights on Lily's friends, and she is left to face the threat alone while protecting her friends from the dark forces she has sworn to resist."

Another book that I'm glad to have picked up, this book is wayyy different that what I thought.

So this book portrays vampires as not only predators but also players. Like pimps who go from school to school preying on young girls. and turning them into their vampire entourage. Very interesting and clever. The book gave a good feeling to me as I read through the story. With a soild plot and good characters, I'm impressed. I really enjoyed how everything came together and how well the author created vampires in the world.

The characters as well were a nice touch. Each character different and unique they all had a role that come together in the end. The plot came at a good pace that allowed the characters to grow with what is happening in the story.

I also liked the love interest. Despite the whole disaster going on in the school, this guy friend remained a steady friend who never gave up on Lily. The groups of friend has her back and with them by her side, it gave her strength to take down the bad guys.

Overall, this is a good book! Indeed, very different from your typical vampire story, I felt like it brought different elements to the table making the story stand out. A savory experience that is refreshing, Vamplayers is wonderful!

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!
