"Even angels make mistakes in this page-turning epic romance...

When her parents are murdered before her eyes, sixteen-year-old Helen Cartwright finds herself launched into an underground London where a mysterious organization called the Dictata controls the balance of good and evil. Helen learns that she is one of three remaining angelic descendants charged with protecting the world's past, present, and future. Unbeknownst to her, she has been trained her whole life to accept this responsibility. Now, as she finds herself torn between the angelic brothers protecting her and the devastatingly handsome childhood friend who wants to destroy her, she must prepare to be brave, to be hunted, and above all to be strong, because temptation will be hard to resist, even for an angel.

Michelle Zink masterfully weaves historical fantasy with paranormal romance to create a gripping tale of love and betrayal."
It is official. I want to crawl into Ms. Zinks head and look at all of the wonderful ideas she has. Did I mention that I love this author? This book is sooo good. It's like eating a delicious red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting that I just have to lick off my fingers!! Too much? Nah, this book is sweeet!

Why do I love this book as much as I love cake? First the plot. I like that the main character is oblivious to what she is. It has been kept a secret from her. She is totally unaware of what is going on around her. I do like that when she knows, she grows. I also adored how feisty she got. She snapped. She fought. And most of all, she didn't give up. That is my type of gal.

What I also loved in the love interest. (FYI: There is no love triangle yet, but one is forming) I loved that the love interest comes from two different lives of Helen. One from her past and now her future. Both guys are great for her. And of course both guys are HOT! Did I mention that Ms. Zink always created such nice, honorable hotties? YUP!

Final verdict? Read it! I loved every moment of this book. Plot pacing is good. Every secret of Helen's past is revealed and it's so addicting!!! A Temptation of Angels is the start of a great series!

 I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

There are some secrets sisters aren't meant to share. Because when they do, it destroys them. This stunning conclusion to Michelle Zink's Prophecy of the Sisters trilogy will make saying good-bye bittersweet for readers."

I don't normally add animated pictures to my reviews, but when I started this book and got hooked in it, it only seem fitting that I show what I felt. Not only was I gasping for my dear life with all the surprises she is throwing at me, but I was like...

WHAAAAAATTTT!

Seriously? I mean really! I was sitting there on my couch relaxing as I read this amazing story and them BAM! Out of now where Ms. Zink made my jaw drop! Ms. Zink is one amazing writer and very talented! One thing I enjoyed about this book is the great plot line. Usually with the final book, I see how authors struggle to tie lose ends and most of the time I am not satisfied with the last book.

Ms. Zink, left me satisfied. Ms. Zink made me not want to finish the book. Ms. Zink wrote the best ending to an amazing trilogy that for days I could not get it out of my head. Yes. I loved it that much.

Everything combined, the characters, the plot, the redemption, is what I long for in a book. This people, is what I live to read. An amazing, thought out, great book that leaves me happy. This book is the BOMB DIGGITY!

Look, just take my word and read this book. Read the whole trilogy! Ms. Zink writes beautifully, captures the readers and ensalves them with the world she created, bringing it forth to my eyes. Very satisfying book, The Circle of Fire is one great book!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

Review: Guardian At The Gate

Title: Guardian At The Gate
Series: Prophecy of the Sisters # 2
Genre: Young Adult- Historical/Fantasy
Author: Michelle Zink
Publisher: Little, Brown Young Readers
Release Date: August 1, 2010
Book: Bought
"The ultimate battle between sisters is nearing, and its outcome could have catastrophic consequences. As sixteen year-old Lia Milthorpe searches for a way to end the prophecy, her twin sister Alice hones the skills she'll need to defeat Lia. Alice will stop at nothing to reclaim her sister's role in the prophecy, and that's not the only thing she wants: There's also Lia's boyfriend James.

Lia and Alice always knew the Prophecy would turn those closest to them against them. But they didn't know what betrayal could lead them to do. In the end, only one sister will be left standing."

I found myself in amazement after reading this book. I had flew through it so quickly, that I hadn't even realized it! Now, that is some awesome writing! One thing I enjoyed about this book is getting to see everything from Lia's point of view. In this book, you don't really see things from Alice's side. Though the reader is still caught up with what Alice is doing from Lia. This book picked up right where is left off and threw you into one amazing story!

The plot line of this book is great! I loved watching Lia travel, and make some major life changing ideas. She learns more from a other she meets along the way. I like how strong Lia turned out to be. In the beginning, Lia is weak and how no understanding of what is really happening. In this book her ignorance is gone and she is someone new.

The love interest in this story caught me by surprise. (Lately books have been doing that to me)  I was sure that Lia, still admired James, but the new guy does catch my eye. He is completely opposite of James and for me, definitely catches my heart.

I am on to the third and final book and can't wait to see how it ends. This book has loads of actions, love, and more traveling with secrets revealing itself left and right! If you have not started this series you should. It has amazing writing that makes you flow through the book really fast! Plus, there's a new hottie. I like him! LOL!

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

Review: Prophecy of the Sisters

Title: Prophecy of the Sisters
Series: Prophecy of the Sisters # 1
Genre: Young Adult- Historical/Fantasy
Author: Michelle Zink
Publisher: Little Brown
Release Date: August 1, 2009
Book: Bought

"In Michelle Zink's debut novel, orphaned twin sister Lia and Alice Milthorpe are yoked together in an ancient prophecy that makes them enemies and could destroy them both. If Lia can break this familial curse, she can not only save her relationship with her beloved boyfriend; she can finally resolve the mystery behind her parents' death."

Why in the world had I not read this book sooner? This book just blew me away and had me hooked.
Two sisters turned against each other because of fate. A ancient prophecy foretelling one good and one evil. Can the curse be broken?

I'll just go straight into and say I loved this plot. I loved the ancient prophecy and researching. When plots take me on a adventure of clue finding it is the greatest feeling in the world. The finding of keys, gates, and old books had me absolutely giddy.

What I didn't like was the slowness of the book. There was the seeking for stuff and then we find it and..... it goes down again. I wanted to see more of the hatred build between the sisters. I wanted to see more betrayals and more stealing. I just wanted more. But nonetheless the book was great. I like the time-setting and the secrets. Secrets are always good.

The love was definitely touching yet heart breaking. I hope I can see more of that in the next book. I do also want to see more of the other sister. We saw more of her but I would really like to get into her mind and know her motives.

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!
