Beat the game. Save the world.
Pandora’s just your average teen, glued to her cell phone and laptop, surfing Facebook and e-mailing with her friends, until the day her long-lost father sends her a link to a mysterious site featuring twelve photos of her as a child. Unable to contain her curiosity, Pandora enters the site, where she is prompted to play her favorite virtual-reality game, Zero Day. This unleashes a global computer virus that plunges the whole world into panic: suddenly, there is no Internet. No cell phones. No utilities, traffic lights, hospitals, law enforcement. Pandora teams up with handsome stepbrothers Eli and Theo to enter the virtual world of Zero Day. Simultaneously, she continues to follow the photographs from her childhood in an attempt to beat the game and track down her father, her one key to saving the world as we know it. Part The Matrix, part retelling of the Pandora myth, Doomed has something for gaming fans, dystopian fans, and romance fans alike.
Amazing huh? I can't wait to read it. It sounds totally epic :)

Blog Tour: Review: Tempest Unleashed

Title: Tempest Unleashed
Series: Tempest # 2
Genre: Young Adult-Paranormal
Author: Tracy Deebs
Publisher: Bloomsbury
Release Date: Walker Childrens
Book: ARC Sent by publisher

"Tempest Maguire is happy with her decision to embrace her mermaid nature and live among her mother’s clan within the ocean’s depths. Even though training to one day ascend the throne for the aging mermaid queen is rigorous, she finds refuge in the arms of Kona, the selkie who first opened her up to her mermaid side. But when word comes that one of her brothers has been gravely injured on land, Tempest immediately rushes to his side—which also brings her back to her old flame, Mark. And in her absence, a deadly battle begins raging at the hands of Tempest’s old nemesis, the sea witch Tiamat. As the dangerous war erupts, Tempest’s two loves—Kona and Mark, sea and land—will collide for the first time, both to protect her and to force her to choose."

This exciting sequel did nothing but make me want more of the story. I was sad to reach the last page of the book, hoping that more pages will magically appear.

Tempest after discovering who she is, is in the sea fulfilling her duty. I like that Tempest took to her roll quickly and smoothly. She is a fast learner and a great people person. Tempest's character overall is a girl who I love to be friends with. Loyal and strong, Tempest faces a world wind of trouble but not without a fight.

The plot line of the book is dynamic. Filled with action-packed scenes, to see Tempest kick-butt is so freaking awesome. Her power and strength that she wields is incredible. Tempest has a great mind when it comes to fighting. She thinks things through and knows her enemies weaknessess.

The love interest, I felt, is the best part of this book. Both passionate and fierce, both guys that are tugging at her heart are amazing. For me, I felt passion more for one than the other. If you want to know which, well, your going to have to read this book for yourself. And yes, you will love it.

Tempest Unleashed brings a whole new story to the table. Written with great dimension and bold, Tempest Unleashed leaves the reader hungry for more. The flow of the story, feeds into the readers mind, creating a massive world building that no one can resist.

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

Review: Tempest Rising

Title: Tempest Rising
Series: Tempest Rising # 1
Genre: Young Adult- Fantasy/Paranormal
Author: Tracy Deebs
Publisher: Walker
Release Date: May 10, 2011
Book: Bought

"Tempest Maguire wants nothing more than to surf the killer waves near her California home; continue her steady relationship with her boyfriend, Mark; and take care of her brothers and surfer dad. But Tempest is half mermaid, and as her seventeenth birthday approaches, she will have to decide whether to remain on land or give herself to the ocean like her mother. The pull of the water becomes as insistent as her attraction to Kai, a gorgeous surfer whose uncanny abilities hint at an otherworldly identity as well. And when Tempest does finally give in to the water's temptation and enters a fantastical underwater world, she finds that a larger destiny awaits her—and that the entire ocean's future hangs in the balance."
I loved mermaid books. This book is a great read. Very adventurous. As soon as I started it, I knew I was a goner. Everything in this book, the elements, story pacing, as well as the characters were perfect!

The characters in this book is what got me hooked. We the reader are introduced to Tempest, a girl filled with hurt, anger, and no understanding as to what is happening to her. Her growth in this book is amazing. I love it when characters learn things and grow from it. Granted she had every right to be angry and turn away. Instead she took a chance on something she didn't know and learn something knew.

The pacing of this story had me entertain all the way till the very last page. Nothing is left to the imagination. Ms. Deeb's did a great job on describing the ocean, sea life as well as the history back round to the story. I really enjoy it when authors can give the reader a full understanding without the confusion. She also did a fantastic job on letting the reader feel the emotions of the book. Anger, hurt, love, forgiveness, all great things to make the reader feel like their in the story their selves.
The love interest is very good. I adore romance and it was right on! I loved seeing Tempest come of her shell and give a chance. She is so insecure about herself, with the way things happened in her life that she is always weary about things. I love the Tempest is able to love once she lets it all go. At the end she has a better understanding that make her heart glow.

Tempest Rising is a great, magical read that you will want to dive into over and over again. There is nothing like the feel of the water, letting yourself swim freely in a great pool of writing. But I have to warn you, once you get in, you won't want to come out!

I give it 5 BITES!
