Review: Endure

Title: Endure
Series: Need # 4
Genre: Young Adult- Paranormal
Author: Carrie Jones
Publisher: Bloomsbury USA
Release Date: May 4, 2012
Book: Netgalley

"It’s all-out war (and no-holds-barred romance) in the climactic conclusion to Carrie Jones’s bestselling series.
Zara is at the center of an impending apocalypse. True, she’s successfully rescued Nick from Valhalla, but it simply isn’t enough. Evil pixies are ravaging Bedford, and they need much more than one great warrior; they need an army. Zara isn’t sure what her role is anymore. She’s not just fighting for her friends; she’s also a pixie queen. And to align her team of pixies with the humans she loves will be one of her greatest battles yet. Especially since she can’t even reconcile her growing feelings for her pixie king . . .
Unexpected turns, surprising revelations, and one utterly satisfying romantic finale make Endure a thrilling end to this series of bestsellers."

Alright, so this book picks up where the last book left off. If you have not read this series, you should. It's a great book about Pixies and a war that is raging for centuries.

What I enjoyed most about this book are the characters. Since the first book, all of the characters  have grown tremendously. Both good and bad. The main character Zara is stronger then ever. She is fighting for her loved ones despite what she has gone through. I like that she did change for the but hate to see her hurt. Through the book she face some tough choices and either way someone in the end will not be happy.

The love interest has definitely has it ups and downs. One minute she likes one guy and the next she off to save the other. Both love interest are good for her, but both guys made some serious mistakes that make me shake my head. At this point in the series I'm not sure who she will choose.

The part of the book that really ravished my heart was the loss of the friendship and trust. Zara has gone through hell and back for her friends and for them to act out on her! To treat her horribly! Umm...NO! At some points of the story I really wanted to slap people.

Overall Endure is a book that you have to well... endure. There is betrayal, flip-flopping love interest, and of course the war that is ready to blow at any moments notice. Endure is fantastic book that keeps you on your toes. Brilliant and captivating, Endure is a great read!

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

OMG! I loved this book! I picked up this book as soon as I got it and read it in under a few hours. The book is really gripping. I really adored how the authors grabbed me from the very first page!!

The plot line of this book is what I enjoyed the most. I loved that the authors amazed me with a great plot that had so much in it. The elements used in the book made me so excited that I knew that I could not put down the book. What I like the most is how the authors used paranormal elements along with Indian traditions. What shocked me most about this book is the possession. I literally got goosebumps while reading this book. I was taken back by the amazing descriptions of the plot as well as the characters.

The characters of this book were not only unique but so strong. I love the voice in the book! Both characters Amiee and Alan, were well developed as well as flawed. I like that the reader gets to go along on the adventure with them in defeating the darkness. The readers learns so much with the characters that it keeps the reader entertain till the very last page. I adored that even the minor characters has more insight of what is really going on than what I thought. I was really surprised to learn how it all began at the end!

The love interest in this book held me tightly! I loved seeing Amiee and Alan love grow for each other. The authors did not rush the love, but let it progress with the plot line and readers. Well done! This is what I like to see in books! Not a insta-love! But let me tell you ladies, Alan will have you swooning from the minute he is introduced!

This is one amazing book! I loved reading every moment of it. I can definitely say that I am now obsession with these authors! A dark, pleasurable, unstoppable read, After Obsession is a book you want your hands on! Go now and get it!

I give it 5 BITES!

Review: Entice

Title: Entice
Series: Need #3
Genre: Young Adult-Fantasy
Author: Carrie Jones
Publisher: Bloomsbury Teens
Release Date: December 7, 2010
Book: ARC sent by publisher/also bought

"Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that's not quite how things have worked out.

For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he's been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it's taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla?

And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there's that other small problem: Zara's been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn't just turned. She's Astley's queen."

Why must authors torture me so? Because they like to do it. They like to see us readers squirm in our seat as we anxiously read their wonderful work of literature. This series is one that I have been following since the very beginning. I was hooked from book one, and have not been able to put this series down.

Poor Zara. Crushed by the fact that her love is gone, she is searching for anyway to get Nick back. As she does this, her fears begin to speak louder in her mind as her search for Nick closes. Zara has lost so many people she is unsure of who she will lose next.

Zara is weak in this book. Only because her search for Nick makes her lose herself. Zara has no one left and is using Astley as her crutch. And Astley allows its. He is so sweet in helping Zara look for Nick even when his heart is at stake. But in a way, I think he knows what he is doing. I think he believes that there is a possibility that they may not be able to get Nick back. And by being there for Zara, it leaves way for love to happen. IDK, just saying'. Plus she is his queen.

The journey itself was great to read. We see Zara going to every length that she could to save Nick. We also see her fight herself. Will she be lost and become evil? Zara is constantly on edge and is always questioning herself. It is only in Astley that she finds peace and knows that not everything is evil.I was rooting for Zara to find herself and her love Nick.

The Need series just gets better and better. I loved reading this book and totally lost myself in it. If you have not pick up this series you should. Definitely a must read!

I give it 5 BITES!
