"A groundbreaking YA from the award-winning author of As Simple as Snow

No matter the method, Adam can't seem to stay dead; he wakes after each suicide alive and physically unharmed, more determined to succeed and undeterred by others' concerns. But when his self-contained, self-absorbed path is diverted, Adam is struck by the reality that life is an ever-expanding web of impact and forged connections, and that nothing—not even death—can sever those bonds.
In stark, arresting prose, Gregory Galloway finds hope and understanding in the blackest humor."

"In the darkest places, even love is deadly.
Sixteen-year-old Juliet Moreau has built a life for herself in London—working as a maid, attending church on Sundays, and trying not to think about the scandal that ruined her life. After all, no one ever proved the rumors about her father's gruesome experiments. But when she learns he is alive and continuing his work on a remote tropical island, she is determined to find out if the accusations are true.
Accompanied by her father's handsome young assistant, Montgomery, and an enigmatic castaway, Edward—both of whom she is deeply drawn to—Juliet travels to the island, only to discover the depths of her father's madness: He has experimented on animals so that they resemble, speak, and behave as humans. And worse, one of the creatures has turned violent and is killing the island's inhabitants. Torn between horror and scientific curiosity, Juliet knows she must end her father's dangerous experiments and escape her jungle prison before it's too late. Yet as the island falls into chaos, she discovers the extent of her father's genius—and madness—in her own blood.

"Rescued by a stranger.
Haunted by a secret
Sometimes, love isn’t easy…
He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…
The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.
Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love."

An awesome and amazing read, once I started reading I could not put it down. It gave me a adrenaline high like never before.

Just to put this put this out there, this book is about rape/sexual assault. If you are sensitive to this, then this book may not be for you.

Onward with the review...the plot is dynamic yet impressive. After being taken in by the first chapter, I could not stop reading. You think everything is okay, that nothing will happen and then BAM! Then incident happens and your so hooked, you want to fight too! You should have seen my hands forming fist ready to kick some butt! I was angry yet relieved when it was all over, yet I knew it had just begun. Each chapter the reader sees Jacqueline face so many trails. The anger and frustration, the pressure of who's fault it was, to being scared every single day.

Which brings me to the love interest. Lucas and Jacqueline make a great couple. They match each other perfectly yet face similar hardships in their life. Both carry deep secrets and desperately need someone to rescue them. They both are so busy doing for others that they hardly do anything for themselves. These precious moments they have together, give the book just the right amount of light to overshadow the dark. They help each other face their past and move forward.

There are many things I could say but in all seriousness, Easy is freaking fantastic. It's heart-wrenching, yet it fills the reader with a hope that not all is lost. Easy is a successful story because of what is brings. It brings realistic story of lost and love. Offering a raw yet enthralling story, Easy is awesome!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

"Remy O’Malley heals people with touch—but every injury she cures becomes her own. Living in a household with an abusive stepfather, she has healed untold numbers of broken bones, burns, and bruises. And then one night her stepfather goes too far.
Being sent to live with her estranged father offers a clean start and she is eager to take it. Enter Asher Blackwell. Once a Protector of Healers, Asher sacrificed his senses to become immortal. Only by killing a Healer can a Protector recover their human senses. Falling in love is against the rules between these two enemies. Because Remy has the power to make Protectors human again, and when they find out, they’ll becoming for her—if Asher doesn’t kill her first."

You know those types of books that give such a rush that you want to do nothing but dive into the book over and over again? Yeah, that's this book. Touched is such a great and amazing story!

The best part about this book is the plot. I loved that it started off hard and raw, leading the reader down a painful road. Then it let up, allowing the reader to stand up, brush off our shoulder, and step into a whole new world. The author did an amazing job in creating a great back round history. I love a good story that is filled with fascinating info. The war, what they really are, and how they came to be today, that is the icing on the cake!

The love interest of course is fierce and so exciting. The bouncing back and forth of sarcastic comments is done tastefully. Meaning, there no dragging out the love/hate relationship. Thank YOU! As much as I like to see two opposite people fall in love, it's turns me off when its like that throughout the whole book. The love interest is so worth wait and once they are together, BAM! There is no stopping them,

Touched is a great debut that I want more of. Touched accomplishes the perfect tone of long history just waiting to be change. It offers a new chance for history to play out differently. Touched keeps the readers heart racing with each chapter.

I give it 5 BITES!

Review: Thomas & January

Title: Thomas & January
Series: Sleepless # 2
Genre: New Adult-Contemporary
Author: Fisher Amelie
Publisher: Self-Pub
Release Date: June 15, 2012
Book: Amazon
Video Review: HERE

"Thomas Eriksson thinks he has it all figured out.
"People crossed the street when they saw me. I’m not really sure why that was. I mean, okay, I might have looked a bit intimidating if I was being truthful with you. I’d changed since New York. New York represented a life that wasn’t real, not truthfully, anyway. No, New York was the “young, immature, in love, idiot" side of Tom. The “Tie-Dye Tom of New York City” didn’t exist anymore. Tie-Dye Tom was dead."
January Mac Lochlainn thinks she’s her own worst enemy.
"I quit Berkeley. Threw away a full scholarship. Plans, you ask? What plans?"
But they’re both wrong."

With this amazing writing, you can not go wrong in reading such an epic tale of love!!

What I loved most about this book is the great plot. Two people completely different, different goals, and of course do not like each other, destined for a great love! I loved this plot so much I just want to read it over and over again! It's hopelessly romantic and amazing. I like that  there love did not happen over not. It took months, and lots of mistakes to bring these two together.

The characters are well written. I love a good book were the characters have a mind of their own. It's not robotic, it's so clear that you can hear the characters screaming at you. Their loud and outspoken. The reader even gets to see a little of Callum & Harper. That made me smile :)

The ending of the book is my favorite. I love how well they fit and mold each other. The compliment each other so good it's hard to wipe that dopey smile off your face. After reading the last scene and closing the book, I smiled for days, just thinking how wonderful this love story truly is.

If you want a good romantic story, the hop on the Sleepless train. Once your on, prepared to looses you sleep and your emotions. Your heart will melt with the love and fantastic one lines you can not get enough of. Thomas & January is a great addition to the Sleepless series. It shows that no matter what, love knows no bounds.

I give it 5 BITES!

Review: Callum & Harper

Title: Callum & Harper
Series: Sleepless # 1
Genre: Young Adult-Contemporary
Author: Fisher Amelie
Publisher: Self-Pub
Release Date: December 24, 2011
Book: Amazon
Video Review: HERE

"Life sucks for orphans Callum Tate and Harper Bailey.
Kicked out of their foster homes because they suffer the 'eighteen disease' with nothing but a hundred dollar check from the government and a pat on the back, they're forced to rely on a system that failed them miserably.
So they sit. They sit inside Social Services, waiting for their social workers to call their names and offer them the miracle they know will never come but they sit anyway because they have nowhere else to go, no other options on their very literal and figurative empty plates.
But as they sit, they notice the other. Although captivated, they each come to the conclusion that life is complicated enough without throwing in a boiling tension that can't ever be acted upon because they're both too busy thinking about where their next meal will come from but when their names are called and both are placed on a year long waiting list for permanent housing, suddenly relying on each other seems like a very viable plan B.
And, oh, how lovely Plan B's can be.
Well, except for the psycho from Harper's past that haunts her and, oh, yeah, there's the little issue that neither of them knows they're in love with the other.
Needless to say, Callum & Harper's life just got a bit more complicated.
“One day, you and I are gonna’ wake up and be alright. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day. One day. I promise you.” - Callum Tate"

This is one helluva story. This LOVE right here is what life is about. It's about taking leap of faith and being patient. It's about standing by one another in a loyal friendship, never letting the other fall down. And when they do, you take turns holding each other up. THAT is LOVE!

So why did Callum & Harper hooked me to the core? Because it's REAL! Let me tell you that their life is NOT painted pretty. The struggle with what meal will they eat next? Where will they sleep? How to finish their education? Their kids for crying out load, forced to grow up in a cruel place with no example of what love or family would be like! You know what? They excelled far and beyond, creating better lives for themselves and succeeding with very little help. They learn to love despite the crappy hand the world dealt them, and became better people. That's why I fell in love.

Not only was the plot rocking, but their LOVE conquered all things. They faced things TOGETHER!
 Say it with me...T-O-G-E-T-H-E-R.
Cause that's how couples worked. Together the worked, encouraged, and love each other deeply. And when one backed down cause of fear, the other didn't push. But instead, both of them took a step back, loving each other from afar, giving the space they wanted. Their love is romantic, patient, kind, not boastful, not jealous. They did no wrong to each other and went beyond friendship. I can't express how much I LOVED this book.

Callum & Harper is TRUE love story. Significant in details with great world building, Callum & Harper defy all laws that goes against them. A well balanced, riveting story that has a harsh reality and a sublime ending, this is what we live for. A love worth waiting for!

I  give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

Review: Bad Taste In Boys

Title: Bad Taste In Boys
Series: Kate Garble # 1
Genre: Young Adult- Superaturalish/Science Fiction
Author: Carrie Harris
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Release Date: July 12, 2011
Book: Bought
Video Review: HERE
"Someone's been a very bad zombie. Kate Grable is horrified to find out that the football coach has given the team steroids. Worse yet, the steriods are having an unexpected effect, turning hot gridiron hunks into mindless flesh-eating zombies. No one is safe--not her cute crush Aaron, not her dorky brother, Jonah . . . not even Kate! She's got to find an antidote--before her entire high school ends up eating each other. So Kate, her best girlfriend, Rocky, and Aaron stage a frantic battle to save their town . . . and stay hormonally human."

I'm so glad that I finally got to read this book. Short and amazing awesome, this story blows me away!

What I enjoyed most about this story is the awesome plot line. Filled with action from start to finish, I had no problems stepping into the story and enjoying it. I really like how the plot immediately catches the reader, entrancing them to keep reading. The plot pacing of the book is evenly paced well that you don't get confused with the story or does it fall flat. The plot keeps moving towards an awesome build up.

The characters on the book are totally amazing. The main character Kate is your typical nerd. She is invisible to everyone, always has her nose in a book and just trying to fit in. I love that Kate is smart and uses that toward her advantage. She is realistic as well as open-minded. Immediately with the first sighting of zombies, Kate is on the case like a Nancy Drew. Looking for clues, searching for answers, and not taking crap from anyone. If anyone got in her way, she found a way around it.

There is also this really cool big sister/little bro duo going on. This gave a good insight on Kate's home life and a much more personal look at Kate. I love that the reader sees these two fighting as well as working together. Kate's little bro looks up to her and does his best to protect her in any way possible. Best brother EVA!

The love interest is quite sweet and moved well. I liked that after all this time Kate is finally noticed by a hottie football player. GO KATE! He is all that you want in guy plus he is smart as well. He immediately takes Kate's word and starting working with her, no questions asked. When  flirting came about, I couldn't help but let a huge grin form in my face.

Bad Taste In Boys is an awesome book that everyone should read. Even though it is short, it certainly packs a punch. Ms. Harris presents the reader with amazing characters and a kick butt plot line. Bad Taste In Boys thrills readers with fantastic writing and world building. Bad Taste In Boys is awesome!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!
